Year 2100.
A young child with high potential, Thaidi, goes to meet her tutor Lady Sarah in the mountains. She is the target of a dark hunter, Chiron, and a disturbing maniac known as Mr. Nénuphar.
Mr. Nénuphar leaves bodies of guardians and officers of the authorities in his path, while dwelling on his past and his fallen dreams of contributing to the evolution of humanity, rejected in competition, ten years earlier, by the all-powerful Dr. Aguilar: the Director of “Instruction and Security”, the entity that governs the world and whose only goal is its space migration project.
The tutor, increasingly disturbed, mistreats and leads Thaidi towards a completely distorted education, to the point of wanting to kill her in a fit of madness.
At the same time, Chiron reveals larger criminal intentions after seeing the love of his life shot dead by Mr. Nénuphar in the past and ultimately finding himself on the run for crime and cryptocurrency trafficking with a hacker.
At the time of being killed by Lady Sarah, Thaidi will be saved by Mr. Nénuphar, who turns out to be the best repairer of Dr. Aguilar’s I-Anthropes, entirely manipulated by the Doctor who, driven by his excessive ego, succeeds at the same time ten years earlier in stealing Mr. Nénuphar’s project – better than his own – and forcing him to help him resolve the programming errors in his I-Anthropes – AI cyborgs that he needs for his interstellar travel project.
Lady Sarah, Chiron and the authorities officers all turn out to be I-Anthropes. Some 1st generation with free AI, like Chiron. And then the others with a controlled AI, something requested by humans, afraid of seeing the Chirons “gain” consciousness. Hence their withdrawal and rejection of “Instruction and Security” which lets them live, as long as they do not violate the law.
With Thaidi, Mr. Nénuphar repairs Lady Sarah, while infusing her with Buddha’s proverbs as with all the other I-Anthropes he repairs, his latest initiative to contribute to progress in the world.
But just as he is thinking about retiring, tired of the hypocrisy of Dr. Aguilar and Education and Safety, Mr. Nénuphar is shot down by Chiron, who not only takes revenge for the “removal” of Love from his life , but also initiates a war against “Instruction and Safety” by aiming to kill all other repairers, so that, like him, they can develop their AI freely.
Thaidi comes back down the mountain with finally a good instruction from Lady Sarah. But the experience created a rebellious idealist.
