Overview
The first in a series of vignettes dealing with varying degrees of paranoia and the misinterpreted signals, confusing situations and chance relationships and events that may contribute to generating this state of mind. In spite of the seriousness of the subject matter, MacLeay uses humour as a relativizing force that offers perspective on the fact that some paranoia is based in large part on inaccurate and/or incomplete information and as a result, its study is rendered of little constructive use.
