About Project
The story is set in a luxurious apartment complex in Los Angeles, where four women from Japan are participating in a mysterious reality competition. Each of the contestants has a different background and motive, but they are united by one goal: to win a fund worth one billion yen established by the late Sarina Senge, the daughter of a wealthy business tycoon.
Plot Overview:
The participants, Seren, Akari, Meru, and Shino, arrive in Los Angeles and are introduced to their mysterious caretakers, Ying and Yang. They are told they will live together for a month while competing for the fund, though the true purpose of the competition remains unclear.
The women are encouraged to form bonds, but tensions rise quickly as they each begin to reveal personal details, including their past traumas, desires, and secrets. Their interactions are heavily monitored, and strange things start happening—such as Meru’s photo of her late lover disappearing and Akari suspecting she may be poisoned.
The mysterious figure Alpha oversees the competition, and although he initially presents himself as warm and supportive, it becomes clear that he harbors deep emotional turmoil linked to Sarina’s death. As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Alpha’s true identity is Omega, a darker and more sinister personality that once had a close, complex relationship with Sarina.
Sarina, before her death, left behind a cryptic message about love and the universe, which the contestants interpret in various ways. Each contestant seems to be driven by their own interpretation of Sarina’s message, reflecting their personal desires and motivations. As the story progresses, it becomes clear that the competition is not only about the fund but is deeply tied to the unresolved secrets of Sarina’s death and the dark past of Alpha/Omega.
Themes:
At its core, the story explores themes of love, grief, redemption, and identity. The characters grapple with personal loss, unfulfilled desires, and the question of what it means to truly love and understand another person. The idea of “universe” is central to the narrative, symbolizing the way each character perceives their own life and the choices they make.
Mystery and Suspense:
As the women try to navigate the competition, the lines between trust and betrayal blur. Meru’s obsession with resurrecting her deceased lover, Akari’s dark past as a former idol, Shino’s transgender identity, and the psychological manipulations of Alpha/Omega create a tense atmosphere full of intrigue and psychological tension.
The deeper mystery revolves around Sarina’s death. Did Alpha/Omega play a role in her death? Was it truly a murder, or a tragic accident? The true motivations of the mysterious Alpha, as well as his unstable personality, unfold throughout the story, revealing a dark undercurrent of manipulation and guilt.
The contestants eventually learn that they are not just competing for money, but for something far more dangerous and sinister—potentially becoming part of a much larger scheme involving mind control and the manipulation of memory, tied to the legacy of Sarina and her family’s vast wealth and power.
Climax:
As the competition progresses, the contestants are pushed to their limits, each facing their inner demons and the fear that someone among them may have killed Sarina. They are forced to question everything about their surroundings, the people they are living with, and their understanding of love, loyalty, and sacrifice.
